After one week off for the holidays, Anime of the Week is back! Also.... can you believe it is almost 2017? (for me at least I have 1 more full day of 2016). On the theme of changes and new discoveries in the new year this week's anime is....

Kaneki Ken is a regular college student who lives in Tokyo with his best friend. After he goes on a date with a beautiful girl he met in a coffee shop, his life is forever changed. The woman is a ghoul, a man-eating, humanoid monster whose kind is attacking Tokyo. She turns him into a half-ghoul and lovable Kaneki is forced to do the unthinkable. This anime is moving, heartbreaking, exciting, and also a hit manga series!
