Japanese Word of the Week (1/15-1/21): Love
On theme from this week's anime of the week, (should I abbreviate it aofw or is that too annoying?) this week's word is: love! A very simple word and often the first word Japanese learners learn to write. Why do you think that is? Hint: check the hiragana charts and remember it reads left upper corner to right bottom corner)

January Anime of the Month!
Happy 2017!
This month's Anime of the Month is...
Bleach!
Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper (死神 Shinigami) — a death personification similar to the Grim Reaper — from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki. His newfound powers force him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife. Definitely give this one a watch!
